Our read on this product
Most drivers eventually realize that the factory-supplied adhesive strips are a one-way ticket to a messy, residue-covered windshield. This holder effectively ends that cycle by using suction cups instead, allowing you to move your transponder between vehicles or rental cars without leaving a trace behind. It turns a permanent installation into a temporary, clutter-free task.
You will find that the primary benefit here is the ability to keep your windshield clean while maintaining a secure mount. Because it is designed for a specific size, it holds the device snugly enough that you do not have to worry about it rattling or falling off when you hit a bump. It is a small, functional change that makes sharing a transponder across multiple family cars or rental vehicles entirely painless.
What makes it stand out
- Eliminates the need to scrape off old, deteriorating adhesive strips when switching vehicles.
- Provides a secure, vibration-free mounting point that feels more permanent than a simple clip.
When this isn't the right fit
- You own the larger EZ Pass Flex model with the HOV switch, as this is sized strictly for the standard Mini/iPass units.
- Your windshield has a heavy tint or textured surface that prevents suction cups from maintaining a reliable seal.
Real-world notes
- The suction cups are surprisingly tenacious, holding the device steady even during temperature fluctuations inside the car.
- The plastic frame is unobtrusive and does not obstruct your view while driving.
Pick this up if you want a clean, reusable way to manage your transponder without resorting to permanent adhesive strips.
