Our read on this product
Adding resistance to your movement often feels like an ordeal involving heavy plates or awkward equipment, but this vest turns that into a simple matter of putting on a jacket. Because the iron sand is distributed evenly, it sits close to your torso rather than swinging or shifting, which keeps your focus on your form during pushups, pullups, or a brisk walk.
You will likely find that you use it more often than you expected because it removes the friction of setting up a squat rack or finding a gym. It is built to handle the sweat and movement of a real workout, and the pockets are a thoughtful touch for keeping your phone or keys secure while you are active.
When this isn't the right fit
- You are looking for a vest that allows you to adjust the weight incrementally by removing individual sandbags.
- Your chest size falls outside the 31.5 to 45 inch range, as the straps may not provide the necessary security for your build.
- You intend to use this for heavy-duty, high-impact movements where extreme stability is the only priority over comfort.
Real-world notes
- The spandex fabric holds up well against sweat and friction, requiring only a quick wipe with a damp cloth to stay clean.
- Reflective strips provide a noticeable safety benefit when training outdoors during early morning or evening hours.
- The rear mesh pocket and armband pouch are surprisingly useful for carrying essentials that would otherwise be a nuisance to hold.
Pick this up if you want to increase the intensity of your current bodyweight routine without adding complex equipment to your home space.
