Our read on this product
Most children who struggle with the dark find that a familiar shape helps them settle, and this lamp leans into that by turning a flat acrylic sheet into a glowing, three-dimensional figure. It sits comfortably on a nightstand without taking up much room, providing just enough soft light to soothe a restless sleeper without turning the whole bedroom into a bright space.
The remote control is the real win here, as it lets a child toggle through colors or dim the brightness from their bed without needing to get up. Because it can run on batteries, you are not tied to a wall outlet, meaning it can easily move from a desk to a bookshelf as the room layout changes.
What makes it stand out
- The unique combination of unicorn and monster truck imagery appeals to children who often have to choose between more traditional themes.
- The flat-panel design occupies significantly less footprint than bulky, traditional bedside lamps.
Real-world notes
- The light stays cool to the touch even after being on for several hours.
- The remote control allows for quick brightness adjustments from across the room.
- The acrylic panel is lightweight and simple to swap out if you decide to change the design later.
- Battery power makes it easy to place on shelves where a cord would be an eyesore or a trip hazard.
Pick this up if you want a low-stakes way to help a child feel more secure at night while adding a bit of personality to their bedroom decor.
