What we've verified about this price
Our read on this product
This smart lock handles the usual frustrations of key management, offering a blend of convenience and security that appeals to a broad range of users. Its multiple access methods mean you're unlikely to be locked out, and the ability to grant temporary digital keys is a significant plus for renters or those who frequently have visitors. The app provides a clear overview of who has accessed your home and when, which can be reassuring for security-conscious individuals.
While it integrates with smart home ecosystems like Alexa and Google Home via an optional gateway, its core strength lies in its standalone functionality. The auto-lock feature and anti-peeping keypad add layers of security that go beyond traditional deadbolts. It’s designed for straightforward installation on most standard doors, aiming to simplify the upgrade process for homeowners and property managers alike.
What makes it stand out
- Offers five distinct access methods, including app, code, fobs, and a physical key, unlike basic smart locks that might only offer one or two.
- Provides remote management of user codes and access logs, a feature not typically found on simpler smart deadbolts.
- Combines a handle set with smart lock functionality, offering a complete entry point solution rather than just a deadbolt replacement.
When this isn't the right fit
- The smart home integration requires a separate gateway purchase.
- Changing the master password before app pairing is not advised.
Real-world notes
- Owners appreciate the convenience of remote guest access and entry logs.
- The auto-lock feature provides peace of mind for those who sometimes forget to secure their doors.
- Installation is generally straightforward, though it does require three pre-drilled holes.
Consider this smart lock if you're looking to upgrade your home's security with keyless entry and remote access management.
