Our read on this product
This knife tends to be the one people reach for when they need a dependable cutting tool that feels substantial without being cumbersome. Its titanium handle offers a solid, premium feel that reassures you it can handle more than just opening mail, while the Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) is known for its robustness and reliability, reducing worry about accidental closure during use. You'll likely find yourself using it more often than expected for a variety of tasks, from quick office chores to more demanding outdoor needs.
The full-flat-ground blade, made from 8Cr13MoV steel, is designed for good edge retention and durability, meaning it should hold up well over time with regular use. While not a premium super-steel, it strikes a balance for an everyday carry knife where ease of maintenance and overall resilience are key. The four-position pocket clip is a thoughtful touch, allowing you to set it up for how you naturally carry and access your knife, whether left or right-handed, tip-up or tip-down.
What makes it stand out
- Features a Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) for superior lock security compared to simpler liner locks.
- Uses titanium handle scales, offering a more premium feel and durability than common G10 or FRN alternatives.
- The full-flat-ground blade provides better slicing geometry than many knives with a saber or high-flat grind.
- Offers a four-position pocket clip for highly adaptable carry configurations, unlike many knives with fixed clip positions.
When this isn't the right fit
- The blade steel, while durable, is not considered a high-end super-steel and may require more frequent sharpening than premium options.
- This knife is designed for adults and not intended for use by children.
Real-world notes
- The Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) provides a very secure and dependable lock-up that inspires confidence during use.
- The titanium handle scales offer a comfortable and secure grip, even in less-than-ideal conditions.
- The blade's full-flat grind offers excellent slicing capability for a variety of everyday cutting tasks.
- The four-position pocket clip allows for significant customization in how the knife is carried.
A confident pick for anyone seeking a durable, reliable folding knife with a premium feel for everyday tasks and outdoor adventures.
