Our read on this product
Most earbuds eventually feel like an intrusion, but these sit entirely outside the ear canal. Because they use an earhook design rather than a plug, you avoid the pressure buildup and that strange, muffled sensation common with standard silicone tips. It changes the experience from feeling isolated to having a personal soundtrack playing in the background of your environment.
They are particularly useful if you need to stay alert while moving through traffic or working in a shared office. You can hear your music or podcasts clearly, but you never lose the ability to hear a car approaching or a colleague calling your name. It is a different way of listening that prioritizes awareness as much as audio quality.
What makes it stand out
- DirectPitch technology directs audio toward the ear, which significantly reduces the sound leakage typical of earlier open-ear designs.
- The earhook architecture eliminates the internal pressure and ear canal irritation caused by traditional silicone or foam tips.
When this isn't the right fit
- You want to completely block out ambient noise, such as on an airplane or in a loud gym.
- You prefer the deep, physical seal of in-ear monitors for bass-heavy music.
Real-world notes
- The lightweight earhooks stay secure during runs without the constant need to readjust.
- They are comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time without causing ear fatigue.
- Sound leakage is minimal enough to keep audio private in most office or home settings.
Pick these if you want to keep your ears free and open to your surroundings without sacrificing your audio experience.
