Our read on this product
If you've ever found yourself short on space while grilling on your 22-inch Weber Kettle, this accessory offers a practical solution. It provides a stable surface for platters, seasonings, and tools, keeping everything within easy reach. The addition of the 'BBQ Whirlpool' insert is designed to concentrate heat for intense searing while also helping to maintain convection heat, potentially elevating your grilling game from casual cookouts to more professional results.
This setup is particularly beneficial for those who enjoy the Weber Kettle experience but desire more functionality. The shelf's durable steel construction and the whirlpool's high-quality stainless steel build suggest longevity, while the combined effect aims to make your grilling sessions more organized and the results more impressive, especially for enthusiasts looking to push their culinary boundaries outdoors.
What makes it stand out
- Adds a stable, convenient prep surface directly to your 22-inch Weber Kettle, unlike generic side tables that may not offer a secure fit.
- The integrated 'BBQ Whirlpool' insert creates a focused sear zone and improves heat circulation, a feature not found in standard kettle designs or simple grill grates.
When this isn't the right fit
- This accessory is designed specifically for 22-inch Weber Master-Touch, Original Kettle, and Original Kettle Premium charcoal grills and will not fit other sizes or brands.
- While it enhances searing and convection, it doesn't fundamentally change the nature of charcoal grilling itself.
Real-world notes
- The shelf securely clips onto specific 22-inch Weber Kettle models, providing a stable 15-20 pound load capacity for accessories and ingredients.
- The whirlpool insert is made from durable, heat-resistant 304 stainless steel, designed to withstand high temperatures and frequent use.
Consider this upgrade if you're a dedicated 22-inch Weber Kettle owner seeking to optimize your grilling setup for both convenience and superior cooking performance.
