Our read on this product
Leaving bags and gear visible in the back of a large SUV often feels like an open invitation for unwanted attention. This cover snaps into the factory mounting points of the Palisade, turning the cargo area into a secure, private trunk. It creates a clean, intentional look that hides your daily essentials from anyone glancing through the rear windows.
The retractable mechanism is the real workhorse here, as it allows you to switch between a covered space and full cargo access in seconds. Because it uses a durable PVC material rather than a flimsy fabric, it maintains its shape over time and resists the usual scuffs that come with loading groceries or gym bags. It stays quiet on the road, avoiding the rattling sounds that often plague cheaper aftermarket interior parts.
What makes it stand out
- Engineered specifically for the Palisade mounting channels, preventing the loose fit often found with universal cargo shades.
- PVC construction offers significantly higher tear resistance and easier cleaning than standard nylon or canvas alternatives.
When this isn't the right fit
- You frequently transport tall items that require the full vertical height of the cargo area, as this will need to be fully removed and stored elsewhere.
- You are looking for a soft, fabric-like finish, as the PVC material has a more utilitarian, structured feel.
Real-world notes
- The installation process is straightforward because it uses the vehicle's existing factory mounting points.
- Cleaning is simple since the PVC surface does not hold onto dust or dirt like traditional carpeted or fabric covers.
- The retractable spring tension is firm enough to keep the cover taut but loose enough to operate with one hand.
Secure this if you want to keep your cargo out of sight without sacrificing the ability to quickly load larger items.
