Our read on this product
This simple pet door solves the constant "let me out" requests from your small pet, giving them freedom to answer nature's call on their own schedule. It’s designed for pets up to 15 pounds and fits doors from a thin screen to a solid 2 inches thick. The included closing panel lets you decide when your pet has access, and the frame can be painted to blend with your home's decor.
While it offers a convenient way to automate pet access, its primary benefit is the autonomy it grants your pet and the resulting peace of mind for you. Owners often discover that this simple addition significantly reduces their own need to constantly monitor or open doors, freeing up their time and energy. It’s a practical upgrade for households with small dogs or cats who are used to having outdoor access.
What makes it stand out
- Offers pets independent access, unlike doors that require manual opening by the owner.
- The frame is paintable, allowing it to match home decor, which is not a common feature on basic pet doors.
- Includes a secure closing panel for controlled access, providing more security than a simple flap.
When this isn't the right fit
- This door is not suitable for pets over 15 pounds.
Real-world notes
- The paintable frame allows for a custom look that blends with your home's interior or exterior doors.
- Installation is a straightforward DIY project with a template included.
- The secure closing panel provides control over when your pet can come and go, and helps keep unwanted animals out.
Consider this if you’re looking to give your small pet more independence and yourself a break from being a constant doorman.
