Our read on this product
Forget fiddling with focus and keystone. This projector uses AI to get a perfect picture in about three seconds, making it genuinely easy to move from the living room to the backyard for movie night. The VIDAA OS is quick, handles all your favorite streaming apps smoothly, and even offers over a thousand live channels.
The built-in Dolby Audio speakers deliver surprisingly robust sound, so you might not even need a separate sound system for casual viewing. It supports AirPlay 2 and HomeKit natively, which simplifies casting from your Apple devices without needing extra dongles or apps.
What makes it stand out
- The AI-powered auto-setup, including obstacle avoidance and screen fit, offers a level of convenience few other projectors provide.
- Native support for AirPlay 2 and HomeKit simplifies casting from Apple devices, a smoother experience than many Google TV-based projectors.
- The VIDAA OS provides a fast, secure smart TV-like experience with integrated app support and live TV channels.
When this isn't the right fit
- The advertised "4K" is via decoding, while the native resolution is 1080P.
- Brightness is rated at 920 ISO ANSI lumens, which is good for a portable, but may not be sufficient for rooms with significant ambient light.
Real-world notes
- Setup is remarkably quick thanks to the AI features, reducing the usual hassle of projector alignment.
- The integrated speakers are a pleasant surprise, offering a fuller sound than expected for a portable unit.
- While marketed for outdoor use, it performs best in dimly lit or dark environments for optimal picture quality.
Bring the cinema experience anywhere with smarts that handle the setup for you.
