What we've verified about this price
Our read on this product
This light offers a full spectrum of colors and effects, controllable via an app, which is a significant step up from basic lighting setups. It’s designed to help creators move beyond static lighting, allowing for dynamic scene changes and mood setting. The app control, especially with features like music sync, opens up creative possibilities that can make your content more engaging and professional-looking, whether you’re streaming, filming a vlog, or shooting product photos.
While it's powerful and versatile, consider how you'll power it. It comes with an adapter for indoor studio use, but for outdoor or on-location shoots, you'll need to factor in the cost and availability of compatible V-mount batteries, which are sold separately. The 360-degree adjustable bracket is a practical touch, ensuring you can position the light exactly where needed without much fuss.
What makes it stand out
- Offers a full RGBCW color spectrum and 18 scene modes, providing more creative options than standard bi-color lights.
- App control via Bluetooth allows for wireless adjustments and smart functions, unlike lights with only on-body controls.
- The 18-inch diameter and edge-lit technology deliver a softer, more diffused light compared to smaller, direct-LED panels.
When this isn't the right fit
- You'll need to purchase compatible V-mount batteries separately for portable power.
Real-world notes
- The app control is a standout feature, allowing for easy adjustments and creative effects like music sync.
- The edge-lit technology provides a soft, even light that's gentle on the eyes.
- The all-metal body and cooling system contribute to its durability and consistent performance.
This light is a strong contender when you need dynamic, app-controlled color and effects for your creative projects.
