Our read on this product
Keeping children occupied on long drives often turns into a game of passing devices back and forth, which usually ends with a dropped tablet or a frustrated passenger. This mount removes that cycle by turning the headrest into a stable, dedicated viewing station that stays put even when the road gets bumpy.
Installation is a matter of seconds, as the spring-loaded rod snaps between the headrest posts without requiring any tools or permanent adjustments to your seats. Because it holds everything from smaller phones to larger tablets, you won't need to swap out mounts if you decide to switch from a movie on a tablet to a game on a phone.
What makes it stand out
- The spring-loaded aluminum alloy rod accommodates a wider range of headrest widths than fixed-width plastic alternatives.
- The internal silicone padding prevents the common issue of tablets vibrating or sliding out of place during transit.
When this isn't the right fit
- Your car has headrest posts spaced closer than five inches or wider than seven inches.
- You drive a Subaru Forester or WRX, as the headrest design is incompatible.
- You need to move the mount between cars frequently, as the fit depends on specific headrest geometry.
Real-world notes
- The silicone padding keeps devices from rattling against the mount during highway travel.
- Switching between portrait and landscape orientation is smooth enough to do while buckled in.
- The spring-loaded mechanism feels secure, but requires a firm press to install or remove.
A practical addition for families who want a permanent, hands-free solution for backseat media without the hassle of complex assembly.
