What we've verified about this price
Our read on this product
Most iPad cases in this category force you to choose between a slim profile and actual utility, but this one manages to tuck a Pencil holder into a frame that still slides easily into a backpack. It avoids the bulk that usually turns a lightweight tablet into a chore to carry, keeping the focus on portability while ensuring you have a stable stand for typing or watching video.
The material choice feels functional rather than luxury, which is exactly what you want for something that will get tossed into bags and used on coffee shop tables. It handles the basics—the magnetic wake-sleep function and the stand angles—without any fuss, meaning you stop thinking about the case and just start using the tablet.
Real-world notes
- The magnetic closure is consistent, reliably triggering the sleep and wake functions every time you close or open the cover.
- The transparent back shell shows off the tablet design while keeping the edges protected from dings and scratches.
- Transitioning between the typing and viewing angles feels natural, though the stand is best suited for stable surfaces like desks or tables.
- The cutouts for the speakers and charging port are precise, meaning you never have to fumble to plug in a cable.
Pick this up if you want a no-nonsense, protective shell that keeps your Apple Pencil secure without turning your tablet into a brick.
