Our read on this product
Giving a tablet to a child usually comes with a lingering anxiety about the inevitable tumble onto a hard floor. This thick, foam-based shell is essentially an insurance policy for your peace of mind, turning a fragile piece of glass into something that can actually survive daily life in a backpack or backseat.
The design focuses entirely on the realities of smaller hands, replacing slippery edges with a chunky, grippy frame and an integrated handle that makes the device much harder to drop in the first place. When it is time for quiet time, the handle doubles as a sturdy kickstand, so you aren't constantly asked to prop the tablet up against a stack of books or a water bottle.
What makes it stand out
- The handle doubles as a stable kickstand, eliminating the need for separate bulky accessories to prop the screen up.
- The specific geometry is molded to fit the 8.7-inch Galaxy Tab A series across multiple generations, ensuring the charging port and speakers remain fully accessible.
When this isn't the right fit
- You are looking for a slim, professional-looking case that fits into a standard laptop sleeve.
- Your tablet model is larger than the 8.7-inch Galaxy Tab A series, as this will not fit.
Real-world notes
- The EVA foam material is noticeably lightweight, which prevents the tablet from becoming too heavy for younger children to hold for long periods.
- The handle is sized specifically for smaller hands, making it easier for children to carry the device independently without needing to clutch it against their chest.
Pick this up if you want to stop worrying about your tablet's screen every time your child picks it up.
