Our read on this product
The ColorShield technology in this braided line means the vibrant color stays put, even when subjected to harsh sun and abrasive underwater conditions. This isn't just about looks; it helps maintain line integrity and can make spotting your line easier in various water conditions.
Beyond the permanent color, you'll appreciate the high knot strength and superior abrasion resistance. These features work together to prevent frustrating failures, whether you're casting, retrieving, or in a fight with a big one, ultimately leading to fewer lost fish and a more dependable experience.
What makes it stand out
- The solution-dyed UHMWPE ensures the color won't bleed, unlike other braided lines that fade or transfer color onto your reel or rod guides.
- Exceptional knot strength and abrasion resistance mean fewer break-offs during aggressive retrieves or when navigating rocky bottoms.
When this isn't the right fit
- If you primarily fish in very clear, shallow water where line visibility is a major concern, you might prefer a line with more subtle color options or a different material.
Real-world notes
- The permanent coloration means you won't have to worry about re-spooling due to faded line, and it maintains a consistent visual cue for bite detection.
Choose this line when you need dependable performance that holds up to tough conditions and looks good doing it.
