Our read on this product
The real benefit here isn't just the JBL sound, which is excellent, but the freedom from your phone. The charging case's touchscreen means you can tweak EQ, skip tracks, or answer calls without fumbling for your device, which is a genuine convenience when you're on the move or just don't want to be interrupted. It’s about having immediate control right at your fingertips, making the entire listening experience smoother and more integrated into your day.
This convenience extends to the battery life, offering a substantial 48 hours of total playback. This means fewer interruptions for charging, whether you're on a long commute, a business trip, or simply don't want to worry about topping them up daily. The option for wireless charging adds another layer of ease, letting you keep them powered up effortlessly.
What makes it stand out
- The integrated touchscreen on the charging case allows for app-free adjustments to EQ, volume, and playback.
- Offers a total of 48 hours of playback, significantly longer than many competing earbuds.
- Features JBL Spatial Sound for a more immersive audio experience, particularly with movies and music.
When this isn't the right fit
- The touchscreen on the case, while convenient, might be less intuitive for some users compared to a familiar app interface.
- While they offer Hi-Res Audio, the true benefit of this high-fidelity format is best appreciated with compatible source material and may be less noticeable with standard streaming audio.
Real-world notes
- The ability to customize the case screen with photos is a nice touch that adds a personal element.
- The noise cancellation is effective for blocking out common ambient sounds like engine noise and office chatter.
- Charging the case wirelessly is a convenient way to keep them topped up, though it's slower than wired charging.
Consider these if you value quick, app-free control and long listening sessions without needing your phone constantly.
