Our read on this product
These headphones are your go-to for finding a bit of quiet, no matter where you are. The true adaptive noise cancellation here is designed to adjust in real-time to your surroundings, meaning it's not just a static block of silence, but a dynamic shield against distractions. This means you can expect a more consistent and effective quiet, whether you're on a rumbling train or in a bustling cafe.
Beyond the quiet, the audio quality aims to impress with Hi-Res certification, promising a level of detail that can make your favorite music feel new again. Combined with JBL's Spatial Sound, it creates an immersive listening environment that pulls you into the audio. The convenience of LE Audio and multi-point connections means these are built to integrate smoothly into your daily tech life, handling multiple devices without fuss and offering a glimpse into future audio standards.
What makes it stand out
- Offers Hi-Res Audio support over Bluetooth, a feature not commonly found in many competitors in this category.
- Features LE Audio, providing a more future-proof connection with potential for lower power consumption and higher quality streams.
- True Adaptive Noise Cancellation 2.0 calibrates in real-time, offering a more dynamic noise-blocking experience than many static ANC systems.
- Has up to 80 hours of battery life with ANC off, significantly outlasting many similarly featured headphones.
When this isn't the right fit
- The battery life claims are based on ANC being turned off; expect significantly less with noise cancellation active.
- While comfortable for many, the over-ear design might feel warm during extended wear in hotter climates.
Real-world notes
- The real-time adaptive noise cancellation noticeably adjusts to changing background sounds, which can be a subtle but welcome improvement over static ANC.
- Multi-point connection works well for switching between a laptop and phone, but the setup can sometimes require a quick re-pair.
- The sound profile is generally well-balanced, though some may prefer a more pronounced bass for certain music genres.
- The foldable design is practical for travel, but the included carrying pouch offers minimal protection against significant impacts.
A confident pick for anyone prioritizing immersive sound and effective noise cancellation for daily use and travel.
