What we've verified about this price
Our read on this product
This portable speaker makes a strong case for leaving your good indoor speakers behind when you head outside. It’s built to handle the elements, so you can stop worrying about splashes by the pool or dust on a picnic blanket. You get a surprising amount of sound for its size, with clear highs and enough bass to feel the music, even outdoors. The 12-hour battery life means it’ll likely outlast your gathering.
It’s the kind of speaker that becomes a go-to for casual listening anywhere. You’ll probably find yourself reaching for it more often than you expect, whether it’s for background music during a backyard barbecue or to liven up a camping trip. It’s not trying to be a high-fidelity studio monitor, but it confidently solves the problem of wanting your music to sound good and be heard without fuss, wherever you are.
What makes it stand out
- Offers a 2-way speaker system for distinct high and low frequencies, unlike simpler single-driver portable speakers.
- Its IP67 rating means it's fully protected against dust ingress and can be submerged in water, a higher standard than many basic water-resistant models.
When this isn't the right fit
- The battery life, while good, might not be enough for multi-day events without a power source.
- It’s designed for portability, so don’t expect room-filling, audiophile-grade sound that rivals larger home systems.
Real-world notes
- The sound quality is robust and clear, even at higher volumes, making it suitable for more than just background noise.
- Its rugged, waterproof build means you can place it near water or in dusty environments without concern.
- The 12-hour battery life is generally sufficient for a full day of use, reducing the need for frequent charging.
A confident pick for anyone prioritizing sound and durability for outdoor adventures.
