Our read on this product
This precision filter basket is engineered to bring consistency to your home espresso setup. Its design, featuring 641 meticulously placed holes and a flat bottom, promotes even water distribution, which is key to unlocking nuanced flavors and avoiding the bitterness that comes from uneven extraction.
Beyond the shot itself, you’ll notice cleanup becomes less of a chore. The polished stainless steel surface, including the inside of the holes, resists coffee residue, making puck removal cleaner and faster. This means less time scrubbing and more time enjoying your coffee.
What makes it stand out
- Its specific design with 641 holes and a flat bottom optimizes flow for better extraction than standard baskets found in many home machines.
- The polished interior surfaces, even within the holes, significantly reduce coffee buildup, simplifying cleaning compared to less refined alternatives.
When this isn't the right fit
- This basket is designed for specific Breville and Sage 54mm portafilter machines and will not fit other brands or professional machines.
Real-world notes
- Expect a noticeable improvement in shot consistency and flavor extraction, especially if you’re upgrading from a stock basket.
- Cleaning is genuinely easier due to the smooth, polished finish that coffee grounds don’t readily stick to.
Home baristas with compatible Breville or Sage machines can finally achieve more consistent, flavorful espresso with easier cleanup.
