Our read on this product
Digital note-taking often feels like a trade-off between the performance of first-party hardware and the reality of a tight budget. This stylus bridges that gap by delivering the core experience—palm rejection, tilt sensitivity, and immediate, lag-free responsiveness—without the premium overhead. It is the kind of tool that disappears into your workflow, allowing you to focus on the document or canvas rather than the device in your hand.
Most owners find that the lack of Bluetooth pairing is a hidden benefit rather than a limitation. You simply tap the top to wake it, and it works across compatible iPads without the frustration of connection drops or battery-draining background processes. It is built for those who want a reliable, grab-and-go instrument for marking up PDFs, sketching during a meeting, or keeping track of lecture notes.
What makes it stand out
- Eliminates the friction of Bluetooth pairing and app-specific setup requirements.
- Provides a near-identical writing feel to more expensive alternatives for standard note-taking tasks.
When this isn't the right fit
- You require pressure sensitivity for nuanced artistic shading, which this model does not provide.
- You use an older iPad model that falls outside the specific generation list provided.
- You are looking for wireless charging directly from the iPad side magnet, as this requires a cable.
Real-world notes
- The top-tap power button is responsive enough to prevent accidental shutdowns while writing.
- The battery life is sufficient for a full day of classes or meetings on a single short charge.
- The palm rejection is effective enough that you can write naturally without needing to wear a glove.
Pick this up if you need a dependable, no-fuss digital pen that handles daily note-taking and sketching tasks without the premium cost.
