Our read on this product
Most mesh systems are bulky boxes you try to hide behind a plant or tucked away in a cabinet. This one actually looks like a piece of home decor, which means you can place it out in the open where it performs best. By folding a smart speaker into the mesh point, you gain a functional device for your living room or bedroom rather than just another blinking hub of wires.
The setup process is remarkably simple, focusing on the app-based management that lets you pause connections or prioritize devices without needing a networking degree. It works best when you value an unobtrusive aesthetic and a unified smart home experience over the granular, complex settings found in enthusiast-grade hardware.
What makes it stand out
- Integrates a functional smart speaker directly into the mesh access point, reducing the total number of gadgets on your shelves.
- Uses a clean, matte aesthetic that blends into residential interiors instead of looking like industrial networking equipment.
- Relies on the Google ecosystem for setup and management, which is significantly more intuitive for non-technical users than traditional web-based router interfaces.
When this isn't the right fit
- You require advanced, granular network configuration settings for custom firewall rules or complex routing.
- You are strictly looking for the absolute highest raw throughput speeds, as this prioritizes stability and ease of use over extreme performance.
Real-world notes
- The integrated smart speaker functionality means you do not need to buy separate audio hardware for rooms where you add a mesh point.
- Software updates arrive automatically, which keeps the network secure without requiring you to manually check for firmware versions.
- The app interface makes it very easy to toggle parental controls or pause the internet for specific devices during dinner or study time.
Choose this if you want to fix your dead zones without turning your living space into a server room.
