Our read on this product
This electric lighter handles the common frustration of trying to light candles or fireplaces with traditional lighters, especially in breezy conditions or with deep-set wicks. Its plasma arc ignites quickly and cleanly, meaning you're not fumbling with matches or dealing with the smell of butane. It feels like a small upgrade to daily rituals, making tasks like lighting a scented candle before bed or starting a fire in the hearth feel a bit more effortless and modern.
Beyond just lighting candles, its windproof nature makes it surprisingly handy for outdoor use, like lighting a grill or a campfire, and the safety lock offers peace of mind when stored. The rechargeable battery means you're not constantly buying replacements, and the LED indicator helps avoid that moment of needing it only to find it dead. It’s the kind of gadget that, once you start using it, you wonder how you managed without it for everyday tasks.
What makes it stand out
- Offers a flameless plasma arc, unlike traditional lighters that produce an open flame.
- Features USB rechargeability, eliminating the need for disposable fuel or frequent replacements.
- Includes a safety lock and auto-shutoff mechanism for enhanced user protection.
- Its windproof design is more reliable in breezy conditions than standard lighters.
When this isn't the right fit
- While it has a safety lock, it's not designed as a toy replacement for child supervision.
- The 7-second auto-shutoff, while a safety feature, might interrupt lighting a stubborn wick or a larger fire.
Real-world notes
- The plasma arc ignites quickly and cleanly, making it easy to light candles and fireplaces without an open flame.
- Recharging via USB is convenient, and the battery indicator helps you know when it's time to power up.
- The windproof design is effective for outdoor use, such as lighting grills or campfires.
- The safety lock and auto-shutoff features add a layer of security, especially in households with children.
A confident pick for anyone tired of fumbling with matches or disposable lighters.
