Our read on this product
When you’re on a plane or a train, the world can get loud. These headphones from Focal are designed to create your own quiet space, letting you truly lose yourself in your music or podcasts. They use advanced noise-canceling technology, which means that engine hum or chatter around you tends to just fade away, leaving you with just what you want to hear.
The real appeal here is how Focal, a brand known for its high-end audio gear, has managed to pack that level of sound fidelity into a pair of noise-canceling headphones. It’s not just about blocking out noise; it’s about what you hear *instead*. The audio quality aims for that immersive, detailed sound that makes music feel alive, which is a step above what you might expect from typical travel headphones.
What makes it stand out
- Combines Focal's renowned acoustic engineering with advanced noise cancellation, offering superior sound fidelity compared to many ANC headphones that prioritize noise blocking over audio quality.
- Offers Bluetooth connectivity for convenience, distinguishing it from wired audiophile-grade headphones that may lack this feature.
When this isn't the right fit
- You need headphones for intense workouts or situations where they might get very wet.
- You prefer on-ear or over-ear headphone designs.
Real-world notes
- The comfort for long listening sessions is a frequent highlight.
- The active noise cancellation is particularly effective against consistent, low-frequency sounds like airplane engines.
Consider these if your priority is exceptional audio quality combined with effective noise cancellation for travel or commuting.
