Our read on this product
This set feels like a complete starter kit, with everything you need to begin drawing and coloring right away. The inclusion of sketch pencils, an eraser, and a sharpener means you won't be scrambling for accessories, and the durable metal tin keeps it all organized and protected. It’s a thoughtful package that reduces the usual friction of starting a new creative hobby.
The quality here is noticeable, especially the break-resistant leads that are glued in place, meaning fewer frustrating snaps while you're working. Plus, knowing they're made with wood from reforested trees adds a layer of feel-good ownership. It’s the kind of set that encourages you to actually use it, rather than letting it gather dust.
What makes it stand out
- The inclusion of sketch pencils, an eraser, and a sharpener in the same tin distinguishes it from basic colored pencil sets that require separate accessory purchases.
- Made with wood from reforested trees, it offers an eco-friendly choice compared to pencils not explicitly sourced sustainably.
- The patented SV bonding process for the leads makes them more break-resistant than standard colored pencils, reducing frustration.
When this isn't the right fit
- If you're a seasoned artist looking for a professional-grade set with the widest possible color range, you might find this introductory selection a bit limited.
Real-world notes
- The leads are surprisingly durable, with a bonding process that helps prevent them from breaking during sharpening or use.
- The pencils blend and layer colors effectively, making it easy to achieve subtle shading and vibrant effects.
- The metal tin is sturdy and keeps everything organized, though some users find the removable trays a bit fiddly.
Consider this set when you want a reliable and well-rounded introduction to colored pencils that’s ready for immediate use.
