Our read on this product
Most dog sweaters are a struggle to manage once you are already at the door, but the integrated leash opening here saves you from having to choose between warmth and control. It acts as a standard hoodie for your dog, fitting comfortably without getting in the way of their movement during a walk.
The fabric is soft enough that your dog likely will not mind wearing it for longer periods at home, and the ribbed cuffs keep it from sliding around while they move. You can toss it in the wash after a muddy outing, which is the main reason it ends up being a regular part of your winter routine rather than just a one-time holiday photo prop.
When this isn't the right fit
- Your dog has an unusual body shape or length, as the fit is standard and can be tricky to size correctly.
- You are looking for heavy-duty, waterproof gear for extreme winter conditions rather than a light thermal layer.
Real-world notes
- The leash hole is positioned to align easily with most standard harnesses.
- It holds up well through multiple machine wash cycles without losing its shape.
- The ribbed hem helps keep the hoodie from riding up when the dog is active.
Choose this if you want a layer that stays on during a walk without forcing you to fumble with a leash underneath the fabric.
