Our read on this product
This speaker adds a splash of personality to your desk, offering a unique blend of retro charm and modern functionality. Beyond just playing music, its customizable pixel art display lets you express yourself, transforming your workspace into a more engaging environment. It’s the kind of gadget that quietly solves the problem of a sterile desk setup, making daily routines a little more enjoyable with its playful features and warm sound tuned for personal listening.
While the audio quality is tuned for near-field desk listening, delivering crisp vocals and balanced sound, the real draw here is the interactive pixel art screen. It’s more than just a visual flourish; it’s a canvas for your creativity, allowing you to design your own pixel art or choose from a vast gallery within the companion app. This transforms it from a simple speaker into a dynamic desk accessory that reflects your mood or style, offering a level of personalization rarely found in audio devices.
What makes it stand out
- Offers a customizable pixel art display that typical Bluetooth speakers lack.
- Features built-in utility functions like alarms and white noise for desk-bound users.
- Its distinct retro mini-computer aesthetic sets it apart from generic modern designs.
When this isn't the right fit
- The sound quality, while clear, is optimized for desk listening and may not fill larger rooms.
- The primary appeal is visual and interactive; if you only need a no-frills audio device, other options might be more suitable.
Real-world notes
- People find themselves using the alarm and white noise features more often than expected for daily routines.
- The app, while functional for customization, requires a Bluetooth connection to update the pixel art display.
- It's small enough to be unobtrusive on a desk but substantial enough to feel like a solid gadget.
Consider this if you're looking to inject personality and interactive fun into your personal workspace.
