Our read on this product
This little box is designed to solve a specific travel headache: unreliable or insecure hotel and public Wi-Fi. It essentially creates your own private, high-speed network wherever you go, using Wi-Fi 6 for better performance than most hotel networks can offer. The real benefit here is peace of mind, knowing your connection is secure and fast enough for work or streaming, without the hassle of juggling multiple device connections or worrying about who else is on the network.
What's particularly clever is how it packs advanced features like robust VPN support and a 2.5Gbps WAN port into such a compact form factor. This isn't just a basic travel router; it's built for speed and security, which is often a compromise you have to make when you're on the road. It can also act as an extender or access point, making it surprisingly versatile for different hotel room setups or even for boosting Wi-Fi in a small office.
What makes it stand out
- Offers Wi-Fi 6 speeds, surpassing the performance of many standard hotel or public networks.
- Features a 2.5Gbps WAN port, providing a faster wired internet connection than typical travel routers.
- Includes comprehensive VPN support (OpenVPN, WireGuard, etc.) for enhanced privacy and security on untrusted networks.
When this isn't the right fit
- You primarily need a router for a large, stationary home network.
- You don't travel often or use public Wi-Fi frequently.
- You're looking for the absolute simplest plug-and-play solution with no configuration options.
Real-world notes
- The convenience of having a reliable Wi-Fi 6 connection in places where you'd normally struggle.
- How much faster and more stable your connection can be compared to standard hotel Wi-Fi.
- The flexibility to use it as an extender or access point in different scenarios.
It's a confident pick for travelers who prioritize secure, high-speed internet access on the go.
