Our read on this product
Working in a shared office or a busy café often means feeling like you are constantly being watched, and this filter effectively narrows your screen's field of vision to just your own eyes. It turns your monitor into a private workspace, effectively blacking out the view for anyone sitting even a few seats away.
Beyond the privacy, the matte finish helps cut down on the overhead glare that causes mid-afternoon headaches. You can choose between a glossy or matte side depending on your preference, and the included mount tabs mean you can easily remove it when you need to share your screen with a colleague.
When this isn't the right fit
- You frequently collaborate with others who need to see your screen simultaneously.
- You are using a monitor smaller or larger than the specified 23-inch dimensions, as fit is critical for the blackout effect to work.
- You are looking for a permanent, invisible solution; the mount tabs or adhesive strips will always be slightly visible on your bezel.
Real-world notes
- The screen will look slightly darker overall, which may require a small bump in your monitor's brightness settings.
- Installation is flexible, allowing you to slide the filter off when you no longer need the privacy.
- The matte side is effective at diffusing harsh office lights, though it may slightly soften the crispness of your text.
Use this if you need to reclaim your focus in high-traffic environments without sacrificing your ability to occasionally show your screen to others.
