Our read on this product
This magnetic screen door offers a straightforward way to enjoy fresh air without the usual swarm of insects. Its heavy-duty fiberglass mesh and strong Velcro closure are designed to withstand frequent use, making it a practical addition for homes with pets or high foot traffic. The self-sealing magnetic strips ensure that bugs stay out while allowing for effortless, hands-free entry and exit.
Installation is designed to be simple, typically requiring no tools beyond the included Velcro strips, which can be reinforced with thumbtacks if needed. This ease of setup and removal also makes it a viable option for renters. While it effectively keeps out most common pests like mosquitoes and flies, the mesh is fine enough to allow for good airflow, contributing to a more comfortable home environment.
What makes it stand out
- Unlike basic mesh screens, this version uses heavy-duty fiberglass for increased longevity and resistance to tears.
- The automatic magnetic closure eliminates the need to manually push a traditional screen open or closed.
- It offers a hands-free solution for pet owners, allowing pets to come and go independently.
When this isn't the right fit
- The size may not fit all doorways, so measuring is essential before purchase.
Real-world notes
- The magnetic closure tends to seal well, but some users note occasional gaps if the screen isn't hung perfectly straight.
- The fiberglass material is durable and holds up well against sun exposure, resisting fading over time.
- Installation is generally quick, often completed in under 15 minutes with the provided adhesive Velcro.
Consider this if you're looking for a durable, easy-to-install screen that keeps pests out and lets the breeze in.
