Our read on this product
This patented food catcher aims to simplify mealtime by containing dropped food, a common frustration for parents. It attaches once and stays on, unlike traditional splat mats that need to be laid out and cleaned after each meal. The idea is to make cleanup less of a chore, allowing you to re-offer dropped food and potentially reduce waste.
While it promises to save floors from stains and reduce the need for constant sweeping, its primary compatibility is with the Maxi-Cosi Moa 8-in-1 high chair. This specific fit means it's not a universal solution and won't work with other high chair models. Also, once installed, the high chair can no longer be folded for storage.
What makes it stand out
- Attaches once to the high chair, eliminating the need to lay out and clean a separate splat mat after each meal.
- Designed to catch food, allowing for dropped items to potentially be re-offered, reducing waste.
- Made from food-safe, BPA-free material, addressing concerns about contact with baby's food.
When this isn't the right fit
- This product is ONLY compatible with the Maxi-Cosi Moa 8-in-1 high chair.
- The high chair cannot be folded for storage after installation.
Real-world notes
- Owners appreciate that it catches most dropped food, significantly cutting down on floor cleanup.
- Some find that while it catches food, it doesn't prevent all spills from reaching the floor, especially liquids.
- The material is generally easy to wipe clean, though some sticky foods may require a bit more effort.
- The fact that it stays attached means it's always ready, but also means the high chair takes up more space.
Consider this if you own the Maxi-Cosi Moa 8-in-1 high chair and are looking for a dedicated mess containment solution.
