What we've verified about this price
Our read on this product
You are essentially buying into the Apple Find My network without paying the brand premium for the hardware itself. Because it hooks directly into the infrastructure millions of Apple devices already provide, you get the same global tracking capabilities for your luggage or keys as you would with first-party trackers. It functions exactly as you expect, showing up in the same app alongside your other devices, which keeps your setup simple and unified.
The hardware is built to be practical rather than flashy, focusing on a replaceable battery and a water-resistant shell that handles daily wear without issue. It lacks the precision finding feature found in some higher-end models, but for simply knowing whether your bag is at the airport or left in a taxi, it covers the core need entirely. Once you set it up, it mostly disappears into the background until you actually need to find something.
What makes it stand out
- Integrates directly into the native iOS Find My app without requiring a separate, third-party interface.
- Features a replaceable battery, extending the life of the device well beyond the sealed units common in this category.
When this isn't the right fit
- You need the ultra-wideband precision finding feature that guides you to an item within inches.
- You use an Android phone, as this is strictly for the Apple ecosystem.
Real-world notes
- The pairing process is straightforward, appearing in the Find My app just like an Apple-branded device.
- The battery is user-replaceable, which saves you from buying a new unit when the power eventually runs out.
- The speaker is loud enough to hear through a bag or jacket pocket when searching in a quiet room.
If you want the peace of mind of the Find My network for multiple bags or sets of keys without the higher cost of entry, this is a sensible way to get it.
